DAVOR VRANKIC - ARTIST CATALOGUE

Davor Vrankić, born 1965 in Osijek. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo (Department of graphics) from 1986 to 1988, continuing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where he graduated in the class of professor Ante Kuduz. From 1995 to 1999 he studied Art Plastiques at the Paris VIII University. His main medium is drawing on paper, and his primary means of artistic expression is 0.9mm pencil lead 2B. He lives and works in Paris.

His works can be found in the following collections: Ronald S. Lauder (New York), Museum Overholland (Amsterdam), MOMA (New York), TANG Museum (Saratoga Springs, New York), Ningbo Museum of Art (Ningbo, China), Cognacq-Jay Museum (Paris), etc.

For his exhibition "On Ugliness - Drzic's Grotesque" in september 2018 in House of Marin Drzic in Dubrovnik, we created a 80 pages exhibition catalogue in 4 different languages, with a particular typographic layout that interacts with artists works. And in effeort to present a focus on certain details we realised a special folded cover for the catalogue. This project was ended with a creation of 2 posters as well as a digital invitation for the opening night.
